I've started over 3 (definitive) times in my life and THIS... is Chapter 3.
I spent 3 days and nights driving back to Buffalo from Sonoma, California pulling into the driveway of my Sister's house (in my hometown of West Seneca) at exactly 8:45pm on April 20th, 2014. It was Easter of that year actually. A perfect day for a homecoming! For a renewal of all things that I wanted to build here. For good and for keeps this time!
I left a TV Show that was airing throughout the country on 95 stations (one of which was the largest independent station in all of Northern California covering 6 million people), dozens and dozens of hard-won amazing sponsors and lucrative shops that carried our products, a regional PBS TV deal that I worked a decade for, a beautiful condo in an even more beautiful town (Sonoma, California) in an even more beautiful county (Sonoma, County), in an even more beautiful part of the state (Northern California) good, new friends and a life that others may say was truly magical.
But you see... through my journey into building that "magical life" out there, I learned that the "Magic"... was me. Inside me.
I moved out to California in the Summer of 2004 in a tiny little used car with a bag of clothes, a guitar, a crappy laptop and $3,000 in the bank. Ten years later (after the ride of my life that scaled to some incredible heights) I left all that I had built out there and drove home. With my cat, a bag of clothes, my guitar and my computer. I left that amazing journey exactly as I came to it.
Now... 3 years later... I'm pretty much back to where I was after 10 years in California.
So, YES... you can start over. Anytime and anywhere you want. Just do it. I am simply living proof that YOU CAN start over at ANY age! ~AA
