The 700+ photographs below were all taken on my location scouting trips. They are also what I use to gauge the overall look and feel for the cinematography for all of the travel shows as well as to simply keep me on-point during the actual video shoots as they can sometimes go off in unforeseen, tangential directions.
Do the shows look exactly like these photographs? Well, not quite yet, but it's getting there. I am continually learning, improving, digging deeper, and taking more chances with each and every segment I create and produce. My philosophy is simple. If I can capture it a still camera, then there's no reason that I can't translate that into the gorgeous imagery I have in mind for the show's cinematography. Many people tell me it's good as it is, but "good" is never "good enough" around here and if you know anything about me at all, you know how brutally true that statement can be. I am unbearably hard on myself and continually working toward world-class-best, hyper-creative, raw-real-candidly open-expressionism with all of the imperfectly perfect mistakes and warts that can come with it.
