One of the things that initially attracted me to travel in the first place was hearing about a town's legends, myths and folklore.
I remember my Grandmother buying me a series of Readers Digest condensed books on this subject when I was about 5 and it really was the proverbial carrot that led me straight into my love of travel and stories. Jump ahead a few decades, and those very same myths, legends and lore are something that I began running into immediately when I started my first travel show back in Sonoma, California in 2014. And although my first few shows didn't really have the correct format for such stories, I made sure that someday, I would start to really dig into them and get them out to the public. And on Small Town WNY I'm now doing just that. I hope you enjoy these as much as I had discovering them and doing the research to bring them to you here on the site and in and on the companion papers and podcasts to the PBS TV episodes. ~AA |
