SOME HISTORY Willow Creek Winery was established in 1999 by Jim Emerson in his garage. Mr. Emerson was a teacher for Lake Shore Central School. He was a homemade wine maker for 20 years. His hobby turned into a dream. Jim started a wine making club in 1992 which grew to 40 members. In 1999 he retired from teaching. Together with 15 winemakers, Willow Creek Winery was born. Unfortunately, in 2000 Mr. Emerson unexpectedly passed away. Upon his passing Mr. Doug Metzger took over as president. Mr. Metzger renovated the grounds adding in a beautiful pond accompanied with a gazebo., spent time digging in the creek making some picturesque hand- made waterfalls. And in 2012 completely remodeled the tasting room/ retail store, opening it up to one amazing space. Upon doing so Mr. Metzger came across the original wood beams from the 1800's that he fell in love with and proudly restored to their original form giving the room a wonderful rustic feel. In 2016 as Doug retired his sister-law and niece "Carolanne and Jessica Metzger" took over the winery.
