About Us

I opened Creekside Fabrics, Quilts & Yarns in June of 2004, after my daughter entered college. Originally, we started out with Sewing machines, fabrics, patterns and classes. Within 6 months we expanded to add yarns, and yet more classes!
Located on Main Street in a rural agriculture and industrial community, Arcade, NY is very much a "do it yourself" community, which lends itself well to our business. We offer custom alterations with our alterations expert - Hilary Horner (bridal, suitcoats, zippers) and custom quilting, as well as rental services of our Longarm Quilting machine. I enjoy many affiliations with great organizations, serving as a board member of The Wyoming County Industrial Development Association, a member of the Arcade Chamber of Commerce, co-leader of Cozy Quilts Ministry, Guest speaker at D'Youville College, and Leadership Student through the John Maxwell Team. I never say "no" to an opportunity to talk about my love and passion for what I do! Creekside specializes in "themed fabrics", with a tendency to lean towards bright colors and ideas! Our staff includes my sister Deb; Cheryl, our long arm department manager. Creekside is proud to be an Elite Dealer of Baby Lock Sewing Machines and Products. Our store is open 7 days a week (some holiday's excluded) and available by appointment outside of regular store hours. We look forward to serving you! ~ Sandy |
